Physical Therapy after child birth
posted 16th Mar
My daughter was born on July 21st last year via emergency c-section. Since then I have been in severe pain and I thought it was from the surgery. I went to my doctor and was told my stomach got to big and pulled apart my muscles and I need physical therapy. I went to my first session yesterday and that is in fact what happened. Has this happened to anyone else and how long did it take for you to get better. The exercises leave me in so much pain I can hardly walk after I do them. So I really need some encouraging news right now.

i got a hernia after my daughter was born in my belly button but it sometimes takes up to a year to heal for a c section and sometimes the incision will always hurt esp when you exert yourself

This isn't from the c-section. This is from the pregnancy. I got absolutely huge and my stomach muscles pulled apart in the middle causing my pelvis to free float which is causing the pelvic pain. You can actually feel the muscles being separated when you feel my stomach. They are trying to get them back together through physical therapy
