My tattoo is scabbing which means its a little itchy

Do I still continue to put the ointment on it or no ??

my artist said ointment for a few days then unscented lotion after that like lubriderm, I got the walmart brand

I put ointment on mine for 3 days then just quit all together, the longer you keep it covered with something the longer it takes to heal!!

Put ointment in it but use barely enough to cover it. Its bad to over saturate it.
