home remedies for ear infections

Do you know any?
I have an ear infection and no insurance, so I'd prefer to try to handle it at home.

And I've also heard something about putting pee in your ear to get rid of one, but I don't think I could do that.

You can find it in the pharmacy department at wal-mart I know for sure. I am not exactly sure what it is. I had tonsillitis when I was pregnant and thought it was an ear infection and put it in my ear of course it did not work for me because I did not have an ear infection but a lot of people said it works.

Odorless garlic or breastmilk are your best bets. The garlic comes in capse form at the vitamins at Walmart or probably any vitamin store.

I second both of these. This is what we do when we suspect an ear infection.

I poured some peroxide in my ears because DH couldn't find sweet oil at the store

I get garlic cloves, slit the middle open with a knife in criss-cross patterns and then squeeze it directly into my ear. It's a little difficult doing because it's a weird angle, but it does work like a charm.

That's actually a much better idea I wish I had thought of before. Lol. Next time I get an ear infection I'll have to do it that way.
