Which slot did you put the straps through when your baby was a newborn? I put them through the first slot, because the second one looked too high... but now I don't know if that's too low lol. Also how big was your baby?

I just don't want to have to deal with the straps in the hospital, we had to do that with our daughter and it was a pain because the nurse said she'd 'be right back' to check it out, and that took like 4 freaking hours...

Anyways what do you think, do they look too low?

We had ours on lowest setting when I had DS in Feb. & it ended up being too low & we had to adjust it up a notch.

ETA: DS was 9 pounds 5 ounces & 21 inches

Darn it! I didn't want to re-do them haha. I was using my DD's doll, which measures about 19in, as a test dummy haha and it seemed perfect, there was a tiny bit of extra room and everything.  

My newb has hers at the lowest and it is perfect. Ill probably move them up in a month or so. She's 7 lbs 6 oz at birth and I'm not sure what she weighs now but she's only 12 days old.

19 inches.   lol

I had mine on the smallest with my son. 7lbs 8 oz 20 in. As long as it is below your babies shoulders, it is fine. So it is better to be too low than too high.

I put my daughter's at the lowest setting. She was 6lb 12oz and 19in. We just moved it up yesterday. She weighs 9 1/2lbs and is 21in now.

You always want the straps BELOW their shoulders when rear facing, so I'd leave them on the first slot.
