re: TTC for over a year

I'm heading up on the two year mark now and its veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery frustrating...

I believe I shall test out this mop theory.hahahahha

This is so great!! We needed this.   I don't recongize some of you though, so introduce yourself!! I'll go first even though some of you may already know me!   I'm Emilee, been TTC for going on 2 years this August. I have been on Clomid, HCG injections, & metformin, I am now going ALL natural & seeing if that works. My husband, Josh, has also been diagnosed with low sperm count . I was diagnosed with PCOS, but never followed up w/ the testing so I am not going to claim that at this time. Anyways, INTRODUCE YOURSELF & TELL ME ABOUT YOUR SITUATION!! =) =)

I'm Molly I have only been trying since 9 months but it's frustrating all the same. I have very irregular AFs and am going in at the end of this month to get on Clomid (unless I get preggo before then *crosses her fingers*). I just want to wish you all good luck and lots of sticky baby dust. The fact that none of you are giving up inspires me to keep my chin up and keep trying. Everyone I knew before I joined this site got pregnant either on accident or within the first three months of trying, it has been really frustrating. grr.

Hey Molly. I know it's frustrating. I guess what keeps me trying month after month, year after year, is the thought of holding my child I have always wanted one day.   We got pregnant pretty quickly when we 1st started ttc, but that ended in a miscarriage sadly. So I guess knowing that it IS possible also helps. Keep your chin up hun, and you can join this section if you would like to =).

I'm Amanda. My husband and I have been trying for almost 3 and a half years.
In 2005 I was diagnosed with PCOS but recently found out it had gone away. I didn't know it could but apparently it can according to my OBGYN.
We have tried Clomid but had no luck.
I recently had a D&C (my 2nd in the past few years), laproscopy and hystroscopy because I had been bleeding non stop for months and in the end it was so heavy I was on the edge of needing a blood transfussion, thankfully I haven't needed it yet although my iron levels are still extremely bad.
With the op I had a polyp removed and it was shown another one is growing so I may need to have another D&C in the near future. I was told that was the cause of all the bleeding.
We have been told the next 3 months are our best chance so we have our fingers crossed.
I am now on CD29 and awaiting AF.

I've been trying to concieve for a year now but does it still count if I was pregnant between the year but had a miscarriage or am I out for the whole year thing? I'm pretty sure this is a stupid qeustion but now that I think about it I'm curious lol go ahead through tomatoes at me and boo me off the stage lol.

I would say it counts because if I managed to get pregnant and then lost the baby I would still say I have been TTC for over 3 years.

I already posted my stats but here they are again;

- Our first baby was an unplanned blessing. He was stillborn in 2004.
- I guess we only 'officially' started trying after we lost him, so we've been trying since around March 2005.
- In the last 3.5 years we've conceived 4 times - 2 early m/c (5-6 wks), 2nd trimester loss, and 1 set of twins (born 3 months premature, DD passed away and DS is our lil fighter still with us today).
- I have PCOS, recent cycles being between 29 and 59 days long.

This is month 4 of trying this time around. Im on CD 32 and just got BFN this morning at 10/11 dpo. You would think with all our time trying we would at least wait until AF is actually late before testing lol

Im still totally bewildered by people who conceive first try and go full term, its such a miracle!

<- I’m Mandie, my husbands name is Chris. We had a + test December 10th 2006. It was unplanned, I was on and off birth control for about a year and we must have happened on a off time. I was so excited seeing that I had wanted to get pregnant for a year and Chris wanted to wait a year. So 5 days after my + test I started to bleed. It was the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I have never in my life been paralyzing frightening as I was that day I saw blood. I was being told for about 3 weeks everything could be ok to you are miscarrying, my HCG levels would rise but only by a 10’s not doubling, I wouldn’t get calls back from my doctor with my blood results, they were mean and cold. I ended up going to another doctor who I just love. She has really been a lot of help. It took 17 weeks for my AF to come back, once she did my doctor waited about 3 months and then I started clomid. I took it for 3 months, each time I had nice cycles and I would ovulate on CD 17. My last medicated cycles was November 2007. I have been very irregular and having long cycles and late ovulation. My doctor has referred me to a specialist but I wanted to try and lose some weight and try natural before I go threw all the stress and labs. I have strong faith that God has lead me on this path for a reason. I feel I am were I am suppose to be. I don’t have much support from my family, because they never really showed much when I miscarried and my mother in law doesn’t understand why I am not pregnant now. I get asked all the time, are you still trying? So I tell her yes, your son and I are having unprotected sex. That seems to keep her at bay at times. I currently temp as a form of trying to guess when I am ovulating. I have used in the past OPK, checking CM and CP all the natural things. If it doesn’t’ t happen this month, Chris is going to get a S/E and I’m going to buy more OPK and try that route again. I am so happy that we have a place to share our fears and frustrations, I hope we aren’t in here much longer!

Hi, I'm Leslie, my husband's name is Matt. We have been trying since December of 06, Had a m/c in April of 07. Finally went to see a fertility specialist this past month. We found out the problem and now hopefully we are on our way to conceiving.

My name is Stephanie and my husband’s name is Steven. We have been together for about 10 or 11 years, going on our 3rd married. We have been TTC officially a year. The year prior I decided I would quit smoking and better my health for the baby to come. Well needless to say smoking lead to finding new things to put in my mouth so I gained about 20 lbs HAHA! I am working to get that off….
As of now I have been sent to the fertility specialists. I have had a lot of the testing and blood work and all seems to be fine except for my hormones. I would never have normal cycles and go months without AF. So they decided to put me on Clomid. I get to go 3 rounds on this before trying something else. Right now I am on my second round hoping that this will work!

My name is Haley and my DH's name is Lawrence. We have been TTC for over 2 years. My MIL was suffering a rapid progressing battle with cancer and she dreamed of becoming a grandma before she passed. We wanted a child and wanted to give her her wish. She passed away on the 9th of December 2007. I was blessed with a pregnancy in February this year, but lost it at 8 weeks. I'm in cycle 2 since the miscarriage and have reset TTC since then as I did concieve.
We are going to try to continue naturally until Christmas and if nothing comes of it by then we are going to look into alternative methods (IUI and IVF),medications.
I've given up smoking, caffiene, advil....pretty much anything and everything that hurts your fertility. I only drink when AF visits then I stick with my pomegranite juice. I'm still pumping my blood full on rich nutrients and prenatals.
We are determined to bless her with the grandchild she always wanted and we know that she is in heaven with her first

Good Morning Ladiiess!

As most of you know im Sheree, Mark and i have been TTC since May 07.. so that puts us at 13 months.. We havent been to see a specialist yet, though we have talked about it. A huge part of us really wants to, but then theres that part of us thats telling us we're still young and it'll happen when its the right time for us..So we're just sticking it out untill we can't any longer...

I just went to the Gyno a week ago for a colscopy and when she was looking she said i looked "very fertile" and mark and i BD'd the night before.. (yeah i forgot i had the appt but i douched before i went  ) so maybe there was still a chance for this month -crosses fingers-
