Hey ladies. My name is Alex and I am new to this forum of BG. I have been a member since early 2007 before I had my daughter of that same year. Don't recognize too many of you. I just wanted to pop in and introduce myself.

My DH and have been TTC since September 2011 with not luck. It's been pretty frustrating for the both of us. He is supposed to be getting checked out by the dr soon. You know how men are with drs. I just want him to go so that at least we know and it isn't driving us crazy! My dr says that once we have some results on him then we can move on from there. If my husband is all clear, then they will start testing me next. But he has reassured me that I should be fine since I conceived my daughter with no problem...btw she is from a previous relationship.

I just wanted to drop in real quick and I just laid down a whole ton of info. But I am feeling very frustrated right now! I know that by coming here and talking to other women who may be going through the same thing should help me!

Thanks!

Hi hun, so sorry you guys are having issues. Just know you're not alone. Me and my husband got pregnant in sep 2011 and miscarried Dec. 2011. We've been trying since too with no luck. We're getting him tested as soon as income taxes come in. If he's alright with everything we're gonna move on to me. It only took us 2 months to get preggo last time now it's more than a year and nothing. My doctor keeps telling me I'm fine also since I've gotten pregnant twice before with no problem as she put it. but my kids are 7 years apart and 5 years from my youngest to my angel so I'd say there' s a problem somewhere. I think it may be with me. I really don't think it's hubby but we'll find out. I had my son in 2007 too. His birthday is on the 29th.

Thanks! And I am sorry to hear about your struggles too!

I find it very interesting how many of us are having trouble getting pregnant that have already had children. We are also fairly young just by looking around hear. It makes me wonder if it could something environmental? Anyway I am looking forward to getting to know more of you girls!

I know it is weird. You would think since we've gotten pregnant before even if they weren't planned it wouldn't be so hard to do it again. I mean I don't consider myself young I'm 29 but really it's still young reproductive wise. I'm wondering too if it could be environmental. Or if it could possibly be the foods we are putting into our bodies. Who knows. I know they say processed foods are really bad for reproduction but almost everything these days are processed some way shape or form. But it's weird cuz when I got pregnant each time I wasn't on any type of specidal diet and I drank a lot of caffeine which they say makes getting pregnant harder. Now I mostly watch what I eat and I'm drinking more water. And can't get pregnant. So who knows. Look forward to getting to you know you better also. Hopefully pretty soon we can share our success story since the only thing we are sharing right now is struggles.

I totally think its environmental and/or the food we eat. Then again drs back in the 1800s and previously weren't allowed to even examine a woman. Also there weren't all the advances in medicine like IUI and IVF. Plus it was not polite to talk about topics like sex and reproduction so who knows how many people struggled with it. I'm just glad it doesn't have to be a private matter any more and there's support out there.

Hey ladies!

It's been awhile since I came on here. But wanted to let you know that on Valentines I got a BFP...we were so elated. Yesterday I was told that I am miscarrying. This comes after what I could just feel in my bones a not normal pregnancy! My symptoms had begun to disappear on me. My husband tried to calm my nerves by telling me it was all normal.

I went in the er on Thursday morning with a pain in my left thigh convinced I had a blood clot (had a recurring pain). It turned out to be due to lack of electrolytes was dehydrated. So they ran an hcg test an my levels for 5 weeks were at 36.4....very low. My US on tummy and IU showed nothing either. I was preparing myself for it. It's still hard to hear...but I am doing ok.

I've been cramping all night last night. Hoping that the process goes fat now. Going to visit with my gyno in a few hours to see what my options are.

Just wanted to let you all know. Not going to give up! This gives us hope that I can get pregnant and it will happen again!

So sorry to hear this. It's good to know that you're not going to give up. I've done given up hope of getting pregnant again. It just seems like my body will cooperate for a few months then go and not cooperate. I don't know what's going on. Before my miscarriage in 2011 I had very regular periods. Now I'll ovulate for a few months and have normal periods then there comes a month where I don't ovulate. I know they say it's normal for it to happen but still. But I hope the best for you and hope things happen very quickly so you can get back on the BDing waggon and hopefully baby making waggon.

Hey ladies. I've posted in here a bit but I went to the doctor yesterday and was told I do have PCOS. They're setting me up with their infertility specialist. I don't know when that appointment will be though. They're going to mail it to me. I hope I get results quickly though. I'm getting back on my metformin. I'm getting it refilled today. I hope it can help me out. My cycles for the most part are normal. This cycle though I've gotten 1 day of positive opk and then negatives. The weird part is the test lines on the other ones are fairly dark like they want to get positive. They stay in the middle. Never has that happened to me before. I am having right sided pains but I don't think it's from ovulation. I just wish I could get my BFP already!

Quoting .LikeACloud.:" I have, and while I don't ever discharge very much at any point in my cycle, there usually is a surge ... [snip!] ... as possible, so even if we miss a night or two, there should still be a nice store of the swimmers inside in case an egg drops."
You should actually get your first positive opk 24 to 48 hours before you ovulate so no it's not too late when you get your positive. They say it's too late when your tracking your temperature since it won't show a dip until you've O'd which you won't see until the day after you O. So opks are good to have.
