They inject a dye into your uterus and take xrays to make sure your tubes are unblocked and everything look okay. Some woman don't have as much pain as others.
The dye causes "slight cramping" which is more like labor in my opinion. The test is over fast but my cramping lasted an hour and I'm still bleeding like crazy. My uterus didn't appreciate it.

oh ok i got that done two years ago...i was scared too but it didn't hurt at all for me....hopefully its fine the second time around..do they do it while your on your period cuz the first one i got i wasn't on mine. btw thanks for all the info it really helps

no they do shortly after your period stops. I had mine 5 days after my period.

Thanks for all the info...i dont get my period again till the beginning of october so i have a few weeks...and im irregular so if i got it on sept. 3 i'll probably won't get it till like the 6th or 10th lol

Ok ladies...I haven't been TTC for over a year but i haven't been preventing either. SO and i just decided a few days ago that we were going to start TTC and he asked me if i stopped taking my BC and i said i haven't been on it since Nov 2011 and he then asked why we weren't pregnant yet.
So i dont know what to tell him. He asked if there was something wrong with me. And i dont think there is. AF is normal and on time every month. But i do work alot so i think maybe its just stress.

I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong....it took me 1 yr and a half after stopping birth control pills to get pregnant with my second daughter. What i did was i counted 14 days after the first day of my period and those 3 days i had lots of sex, and it worked...next month later i had no AF and took a pregnancy test and it came back positive. I wish it happened to me now but it hasn't cuz im irregular. Try this and good luck

6 days late without a positive HPT, looks like I'm joining the club and AF is just being a jerk. My blood test results should be in today or tomorrow.

Cattails- did you ever get a positive or AF?

My AF is MIA now too. It's about 5 days late, with no BFP. I'm supposed to do Clomid and IUI this cycle so of course AF ran away.
