Anyone watching...

The History Channel's miniseries, "The Bible"?

Do you like it? Think it's well done? Do you think it's consistent with the ACTUAL Bible?

Just wondering.

I really like it. There are minor parts where I kinda sit there and think "I dont remember THAT in the bible..."
But over all I think its great

The thing I like about it, is that it brings the Bible to life for me. They left out some things (minor, IMHO) but all in all I think it's pretty great.

  yeah small things like with the story of lot. In the real bible when the men want the "angles/men" in his house he offers the dudes outside his daughters. In the show he goes outside and offers himself. So it's nothing that's a big deal that's different and I REALLY like the show.

We have it recorded on the dvr but have not found the time to watch it yet.

DH and I are watching it, we love it so far. We have also noticed some minor details that are innacurate, but nothing big. Still gets on my nerves a little bit though just because Idk why they cant just portray it as its supposed to be. But over all, we like it very much. We record it and then turn the lights off and turn on surround sound. We make it a movie night, lol. Also really wish the series was longer so they wouldnt have to leave out so many parts that I would have liked to see. They went through exodus so fast!
