My child licks everything. I would have put this in SN but am hoping for more replies.

Also, if you know of other teething necklaces geared for nursing moms could you provide a link?

Thanks

So stupid question.. What exactly is a nursing necklace and it's purpose? I've always wondered, and never asked.

When babies nurse, all of my babies did it with bottle feeding too, they grab onto things for extra comfort so the necklace is something for them to grab onto and it also serves as a safe teething option when being held.

Gives your kid something to fiddle with/concentrate on while nursing so they nurse longer. They are great for teething too.

My kids were like...SQUIRREL! while they were nursing lol and would pop off all the time instead of continually nursing.. Id end up covered in milk alot. So, along came the necklaces. They helped.

A nursing necklace is a necklace that a mom wears for a nursing baby to play with during feedings so they don't bite, pinch, scratch and stay connected during the feed- or at least help keep their nursing manners lol

I want a necklace for my SN son to wear so he can lick and suck on an object hands free, rather than licking me or putting unsafe objects in his mouth. He has chewy tubes and things, but the older he's getting he wants to do other things while still getting his oral needs met. And I just thought of this so I'm trying to figure out what I want to order.

lol drives me nuts! Now that he is older, I will put him down.

The necklaces really serve as a comfort item now though.. I bought my older son his own..he doesnt wear it, just plays with it.

Op, I may suggest the Nuby teethers for molars(I cant remember what stage they are),they come in hand and foot shapes. They are super chewy with different textures. My 3yo loves those as well.
