weaning off sippy at night?

posted 15th Mar
Ok my son is about 19 months old. He doesnt sleep all night, and it is starting to get to me! My older son slept through the night at 6 weeks. So i am kinda going crazy! So how do i go about getting him off???? He wakes up probly 3-4 time every night for more water! And he drinks a whole sippy cup at each time.
Any help would be great!

Is he really thirsty? I know I get up and drink water sometimes. And not to scare you, since I don't know the whole situation, but when we didn't know I was diabetic yet when I was younger, I'd get up 4 or more times sometimes to get another glass of water. I was intensely thirsty. But like I said I don't wanna freak you out or anything.

Sorry no advice on weaning him though :/

Can a 1 year old be diabetic??? I've thought about it though!!!!

Sadly yes :/ I have a pink panther diabetic book. It even talked about Newborns and diabetes :/ I don't know the likelyhood. But I know Type 1 (what I have) is called Juvenile for a reason. I got it 2 days before my 15th Birthday, and spent my Bday in the hospital.

If you're worried call the pedi maybe? They could ease your mind. Honestly I'm paranoid and probably would if he's drinking that many whole glasses of water at night. But he could just be thirsty.
