Rofl I took my son out to the mall the day after he was born and my oldest he was 5 days old. So long as baby is comfy and no one is touching them why not? All they do is sleep why should you be trapped at home for that?

As soon as we left the hospital we went to Sam's Club.

We were at walmart before we even got home from the hospital.

i took mine out like the day i got out and my daughter had no choice because well i can't stop life for just her i had my 2 yr old

Your baby will be just fine.

That's what I thought at first, but hearing other people say its bad just makes me rethink it. I plan on taking her to church Sunday as long as she sleeps good the night before.

Oh and I took her to the beach when she was like 3 days old. We sat in the shade but we were still out. *kanye shrug* she looked like a simpson so a little sun was good for her.

2 days. Walmart. Newbs have more of an immune system than people think.

I took DD to the park with DS and I the day after we brought her home.
She was in stores, etc when she was younger than your baby.

:shrug: My son was a NICU baby, so he didn't even come home until he was 10days old. I think the first time I took him out on purpose (for anything other than docs visits) was at a month.

My daughter was the next day after we came home, she was 3days old. We had to do her certification appointments and such. I was fresh off my 2nd section so it was slow going though lol

The day I got out I had bills to pay so we went straight into town! My mother collected us and brought us in. Then I called in to my work place so my colleagues could see her. She was perfectly fine, wrapped up well in her car seat and she slept through it all. I had a section so I couldn't drive for a few weeks. We went out walking every day unless it was raining.

Thank you ladies! That makes me feel a lot better!   I guess I just need to trust my instincts more and ignore people like her.

I waited two weeks

I would of told that girl to stfu and do whatever she wants when she has her baby. You did the right thing. Your baby is totally fine.
