re: is getting a tummy tuck vain?

posted 15th Mar
I don't think so at all, but I've had a boob job & I'm sure many people think that is vain.

In a way. I think some people are just vain in general and give a bad wrap to people who get surgeries to boost how they feel about themselves.
I know a friend of mine would probably of killed herself if she hadn't of gotten gastric bypass done. Sure, it's sad that her self worth was placed on her weight, but I don't know what that feels like, to be obese. I'd probably be very unhappy too.

Yes but it's not bad to be a little vain

No, regardless of what anyone says, we all want to like what we see everyday in the mirror. If you want to see your belly like that- then you should be able to! It would be wrong, however, of someone chooses to purchase a tummy tuck over things their child needs.. like if your kid has to live off of Bologna and too little shoes for a few months, don't do it lol.

Hahaha the thought of you standing in the mirror giving your boobs a pep talk has me LMAO!

I actually do sometimes too. I stand there and try to remember what they looked like before I started having kids lol. I've lost a pretty good amount of boob in the last almost 5 years lol

Technically, yes. But I would do it if I could lose this weight. So I would totally understand somebody whose had children or been obese and lost a lot of weight having it done.

Sure. But that doesn't make it bad.

We've demonized "vain" or "selfish" so much. If you have the money for it, and feel it would be good for you, then it isn't bad.

I would like to have a tummy tuck after I am finished having kids. I had a c section that left this annoying flap of skin behind. It gets sweaty (sorry tmi) and it interferes with my clothes fitting the right way. Does it affect me in a medical sense....probably not....does it make me vain to want to feel comfortable in clothing and not have this annoying sweaty flap....I dont think so.

Of course people will say it is. When people care how they look they're considered vain. I got a boob job and my profession is hair and makeup, people think I'm Queen of Vanity. I just care about my appearance. I like looking good.

I don't think there is anything wrong with that!

Sure it's in vain, but who cares?

Me on the other hand. I wanted a tummy tuck and a boob job. just fill em up!

But now, I'm kind of liking my plumpness.

At least I'm not starving myself to be thin like some people I know.

Yes, it's vain, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. My mom got a tummy tuck after having three kids, and she feels so much better about herself.
