Do I need to tell my tanf worker that BD & I are together?

I'm not sure how is being together works with court and tanf

if he is giving u money or living with u yes.... If he is not paying child support he will get papers eventually in the mail for child support.

they wont care if you are with him or not itll depend on if you are living with him, if hes paying child support, or what. either way theyll want his name, info and ssn if you have it for child support

u won't get it if yall are living together because if he has an income they count that...

If you guys live together you can apply for tanf together. If you don't live together and he pays you cs then you can't get tanf (only one or the other). If he doesn't pay cs then they will serve him with papers to get a cs order

yes u can but part of the child support had to pay what u are getting on TANF my friend is on it and if they make him pay 231 witch is what my SO pays with his ex making min wadge and him making min wadge they will take w/e she gets on TANF out and then send her the extra amount BUT if there is back pay then they wont send her anything till she is current right now her BD ows TANF over 800 they go to court in april.

Hmm... out here you can get either cs or tanf but not both. I'm assuming its because most women who get regular cs don't need to get on Tanf. Do they have a limit out there? Here you can get assistance for a total of 5 years

yes 18 months except for child only cases they get it till they are 18 aka foster children.

My friend is on it and they will take out the C/S for the amount of 180 and then send her the rest. Most of the time C/s puts u over the income limit but my friend can not work due to her daughter. She was a micro premiee and has a lot of medical problems.

Wow 5 years & 18months is a big difference. When I was on it (12 yrs ago) they would pay for you to get job training ect.... we also have where if a grandparent or other relative is caring for a child they can get tanf regardless of their income

yah thats consider child only cases yes 18 months is nothing im glad my husband is making to much to get it because what if i need it latter in life... I know i wont but yah know...
