I am not sure statistically how much harder it is but I know at 30 your chance of getting pregnant drops down to less than 10%. Good luck to you though. And my mom had a baby at 36. And my friends mom had babies at 41 and 42. So it is completely possible And all of those babies what unplanned

I got pregnant with my first at age 32, in the first month of trying. Now I'm 36 and got pregnant again in the first month of "let's see if it happens."

You have less eggs but that doesn't automatically mean it will be harder.

What? Your chance of pregnancy after 30 drops to less than 10%. Where did you hear that? 30 isn't even old, many women have children at or after that age. OP I'm not sure how much harder it would be to get pregnant I assume as long as you're ovulating you still have a good chance. I do know as I'm sure you do that more complications can come after a certain age though.

Really? That just doesn't sound right to me.
My mom didn't have her first until she was 29, and then had 3 more at the ages of 33, 36 and 39. She also only has one ovary. It took her a year of trying with me (her second) but got pregnant within the first month of trying with my three sisters.

It could be true. I read that chances of getting pregnant for a normal, healthy female, which they are probably talking about someone in their twenties, are only 20% under ideal conditions and even then like 80% of fertilized eggs do not implant. So the chances of getting pregnant are never that high statistically.

My mom had both of hers in her mid-late thirties. And my cousin just had her first at 42 a month ago, and she wasn't even TRYING. You have less eggs, but its still very possible. good luck to you.

Well according to a chart I just looked at you still have a 63% chance of getting pregnant between the ages of 30-34. And yes not everyone can get pregnant and even young women it says only have a 86% chance. But no def. not just 10%. It does say it drops more drastically after the age of 35 though.

And also looking at all the people in the world I would have to say that statement isn't very true

This is from an article off parenting.com, but I had read the 20% chance more than once in different articles. Obviously, some people get pregnant every time they try. I have a almost 6 month old, I got pregnant the first month we had unprotected sex. I am now 3 months pregnant and got pregnant again the first month of unprotected sex.

Ages 20 to 24

YOUR BODY
These are your most fertile years. Your periods are probably regular, and most, if not all, of them are ovulatory. Even now, however, you may not conceive exactly when you want to. The average woman between 20 and 24 years old has about a 20 percent chance each month of getting pregnant when she has unprotected intercourse.

I do get what you're saying but I'm just saying pregnancy is obviously not a rare thing many women can get pregnant and do. And that is only a percentage each month. I just meant as a whole could she still get pregnant and yes there is still a good chance she can but it will decline each year she gets older.

I think what you're trying to say is after 30 most women have less than 10% chance of conceiving each cycle, but the way that it's worded implies that after 30 you have a 10% chance of conceiving ever. Which of course is not true.
