camera people

I'm going to minor in photography starting in the summer. The only requirements for the camera is that it has to be Nikon or Canon and you have to be able to control all the settings. Which one should I get? And are these the right lenses for the cameras?

You should go to a store and play with them. Nikon or Canon are preferences.
