Im not going to claires. But i do remember my sister getting hers done at a jewlery store, but im prewtty sure they still used a gun. And then just put in some real gold studs or something.
I dont want a GUN.i have beentold to see a peircer. So do i go to a tattoo shop or somethi g that does peircings? Can they do each ear at a time? Do i have to bring the right jewlery???
Is using a gun really that bad? Any advie would be great, i was 2 when mine were done and dont remembeerl i hqve a feeling annabelle who is almost 3 wont go through with it, when i tell her it will hurt she is like uhh no thanks, but mh 5 year old still wants it done. So..what best?

Guns cause trauma to the ear. A needle actually hurts less than a gun. Whether you have to bring your own jewelry or not depends on the shop, sometimes they have tiny studs on hand. I had to bring my own when I had Sera's done. I'm sure you will but make sure you go to a really good shop. A good piercer makes a huge difference.

Okay thanks, i will ask around. There are tattoo shops on every corner here with pericing lights in the window. I hqve no idea what good or not! I will ask my friend who has a few peircings and see where she says is best

guns aren't horrible but just more painful. Idk how well a shop will do with a little girl though lol. Most places aren't real child friendly :p. but if you know of a good shop then do that. And make sure they use all new stuff, watch them open the packets of equipment.

When I got DD's done they only did it one at a time and put a hoop in it which was easier to rotate and clean

Dd's were done with a gun at the same time. Her dad ended up taking her, and he said she didn't even cry. She was 1. I've had all of my ear piercings done with a gun too, so I don't know the difference. The only one of mine that was sore was my cartelidge.

I've had my ears pierced both ways, multiple times. The gun still scares the crap out of me and I'm 24, the pressure and the giant click then they pull the trigger always makes me jump and hurts alot more. Don'e by needle it just glides through, still pinches but its not as bad as the gun, they usually don't do it both at the same time though, because the places with guns likejewelry stores have multiple employees, piercing places there's usually only one piercer on staff because its just not a high traffic place. Keep in mind your 5 year old might get one side done and not want the other side done and then a week from now forget the pain and want to get the other one done.

Same with my eldest ( the second time she got them done) first time my girls were so young, they only cried for a split second then voila!

My kid is lways taking her clothes on and off and dressing up with stuff and id be afraid she would rip it out, unless its a tiny one with very little room left. She never had any problems with hoops?

i had my ears pierced three times with a gun., in the same hole. they had to be taken out each time because they kept getting infected. i remember two out of the three times getting them done. it hurt sooooo bad for me. i've been pierced with a needle since then and didn't even feel it.
some doctors can and will do it, but i don't know how often that is. i'm not planning on getting DD's ears pierced, so i'm not looking into it. lol.
