Slow cooker

Can I put frozen diced beef in the slow cooker or do I have to wait for it to defrost first before I attempted to cook with it?

I normally don't but I don't see why not. It should be fine. What else are you putting in there?

It would just take longer i would assume.

I wouldn't put it in there completely frozen, it would take too long for it to cook all the way through, and the rest of the veggies and stuff would be almost overdone.

if it's diced it will cook faster anyway (than if it was whole). Just yesterday I put in 2 frozen chicken breasts and some marinade and cooked it for 8 hours and it was very good. Just don't over load it with too many veggies and cook it for at least 8 hours. With beef too it's not like it HAS to be "well-done" as long as it's mostly cooked and mostly brown I'd say it was fine

I put frozen meat in mine sometimes. It depends on if it's diced or how much time I have for it to cook. But it won't ruin your meat.
