Girl ultrasound NO lines?

Hi everyone,
I've been told I'm having a girl. (when I went for my 18+4 weeks scan).
There were no boy parts whatsoever, but we didn't clearly see 3 lines either.
Has anyone had a girl yet couldn't see the three lines clearly?


-BUT in the end, we thought we saw the lines just for a second, but I'm afraid it maybe was the cord or something else because we didn't saw it easier.


If you have a girl ultrasound picture without any lines, please post it! It would be so helpful!

Is this something that easily happens in 18+4 weeks?

We didn't see the "three lines" because the baby wasn't very still, but it gave us many different angles to look from..

Lmao I thought the same thing when the tech told me it was a girl at 16 weeis.

(I have two boys)

I have my proper anatomy scan/gender scan in two weeks. Will let you know if the sex has changed :p

If you saw from more than one angle I highly doubt theres any bits squashed away :p

But maybe you did you see the three lines on your scan?
I'm so afraid this little one's sex has been changed on my ultrasound next week, haha!

Lol no lines, not that I saw, I asnt even sure what I was seeing.

The ultrasound was to check a mass in my breast after having mastitis, but they snuck a peek at the bubby. Tech was fairly certain it was a girl, and I didnt see a penis lol

Oh, ok! Hope you feel fine!!

I guess since their genitals are usually swollen looking that you COULD mistake balls for a vagina BUT there's no mistaking a penis for a vagina. If you saw from different angles & saw no dangly thing then you have a girl

Not at all. They could have done your ultrasound at 16 weeks & you still would have been able to tell a penis from a vagina at any angle really. There's a very distinguishable difference between the genitals & the cord as well. Babys can't tuck either so you can rule that out lol if you are nervous about it then if you have the money you could get a 3D or 4D ultrasound done for confirmation or ask your dr to do another one around 20 weeks because you need to know for a baby shower

The first ultrasound was 18+3 weeks.
Next week I'm having a gender scan, (24+1 weeks)

When they do that one they will check the baby out thoroughly & you will definitely know then! Congratulations
