Prego Blues

I have been having such terrible confidence issues, and have been so depressed lately. I know i am way too stressed out (and with good reason).
How do you go about boosting self-confidence?
And getting rid of stress, how do you do that!?!?!!

What is stressing you?

Generally stress leads to "depression". (unless it's a medical condition, which is possible, but I feel that all too often people don't fix life issues before trying to get on medication).

When I had the preggo blues, I took a bath, got myself all clean, and then make myself look as girly as possible. I know it sounds silly and dumb...but it worked for me. My blues came from not feeling pretty and feeling just plain gross...so making myself the complete opposite of it helped. And then SO and I would go to the mall or something and hang out.

Sounds silly and stupid...but it helped me.

I am HUGE into country western dancing and there is a small honky tonk close by that prohibits smoking inside, so i try to go at least once a week get all dolled up.

So the stress then, what is stressing you out?

Well, I was engaged to a man who was the most wonderful man that had ever walked the Earth, (we'll call him B) till i had to bail him out of jail for Heroin abuse...
Two months later we found out we are expecting. He was put on a drug kind of like Methadone and weened himself off Heroin, the withdrawls though made him mentally, physically and emotionally abusive and i couldnt take it anymore and i left him. I moved back in with my parents and got close to another man (we'll call him D) and we started to date about 2 months ago. Well turns out that he is a raging alcoholic.. (his fav activity is drivin drunk). I am without a job (who wants to hire a pregnant chick??) and i am just scared, plus i have had really a terrible pregnancy.

When ur down n out force urself to change it. Like AP said get dressed up, go out, etc. I hate going out (agoraphobic) but when I do I always enjoy myself I just have to remind myself of that though. Takes discipline and time. Go easy on urself. Saw the other post. Take time for u and focus on making urself happy.
