I think its colic, but I need help

Ok I don't post often but I need advice. I am going to make a long story short and hopefully I can get some help.
Its now after midnight so it's thursday in NC, on Monday I felt like crap and my 6 and 1/2 week old son was a tad congested so we go to the Dr first thing tuesday morning. I get put on meds and after a negative RSV test on him they give him antibiotics due to him having a tinge of green in his mucus and to be on the safe side.

So now he has been on these for 2 days and MY GOODNESS he had a bit of colic but was only fussy every now and then and today, he has NOT slept AT ALL (except 17 min in the car from babysitter to my house) and about 30 min around 9pm, he acts like he is starving but won't eat and nothing is making him happy.

Is this the meds? He was not like this before that. Any suggestions on what I can do? I know i can ride him in the car but as soon as it stops he will be right back up and crying. Any advice please.

Are you nursing him? If so, he may be having trouble latching and is hungry because of that.
You could try a nipple shield

no I'm not nursing him, I did both for the first month but work got to hectic. I couldn't give him breast milk now because I'm on steroids and meds for an upper respiratory infection right now.

my son has been this way all day too.. he won't sleep unless he is in my arms though.. and for about maybe half an hour.. i hurried up and cleaned my kitchen but before i got done he was awake.. and he wouldn't even lay in the bed with me unless he was on my chest..

i think its the antibiotics, there is no other explanation. I layed him on my chest which always works when he was fussy before, and he was pissed. swaddled him, layed him in his car seat, bouncer, rocked him, cuddled him bounced him, my lord I feel so bad because he just seems so unhappy.

i'm so sorry, I'd call the doc and see if it is a bad reaction to the medicine... Maybe try running the shower water? Or white noise... I'm not sure what to tell you, but I hope you get some sleep tonight.

the other thing that helped Jamil was being in the bjorn, and I wouldn't even try to lay him down, if he hasnt slept, just try to get some sleep with him on your chest, so you dont restart the cycle, but that's from personl expierence...

Oh and holding Jamil and vaccuming would help to calm him and put him asleep... Or the blow dryer...

Maybe a swing...

i forgot to add.... When Orion did have colic (not saying this is colic, though) It would comfort him to be in the sling against my body or in a carrier on aaron's chest.
He would sleep against me like that for hours.

If you don't have one, Hotslings is a good brand and you can get them online. I saw some at Target the other day, but i don't know if all Targets carry them or just some.

thanks for all the help, jaylen fell asleep in his dads arms and i held him for another hour to be sure he was asleep, then he layed in his bouncer (still congested a little) and slept for 8 hours, normal for him is 6 but i guess since he hadn't slept he had some catching up to do

6 hours is normal for him? lucky duck.. mine is maybe 2... sometimes 4.. if i'm lucky..
