Can a early ultra sound DD be off??

So I was just going over everything.. Last period December 9 got 2 lines pretty much the same color on December 29 me and DH did it that night.. Jan 11 HCG 33 and then went every few days it was doubling.. Went went jan 25 based on last period was suppose to be 7w1d and was only 5w1d.. Went back 2 weeks later measured 7w1d so based on last period my dd was 2 weeks off... Looking back the dates just don't add up with ovulation.. I hope everything goes well tomorrow at my ultra sound and baby is doing great...

Early ultrasounds are very accurate but all due dates can be off by 2 weeks. You may have ovulated early or late

I had a sonogram at 7 weeks that said my son was 7 weeks but he was born 2.5 weeks early and had all the markers of a full term baby. Peeling skin, little vernix, head circum. etc. The nurses and his pedi swore my date was off and the sonogram was off.

You may have just had a different ovulation date.

I'm just so worried for tomorrow but I heard /saw the heart beat at 7 weeks so that's a good sign right?

I believe that the earlier US measurements are often more accurate as most babies are pretty close to the same size in the first trimester so US can give fairly accurate estimates. Later on I think there can be more variation in size so it's not as accurate. It sounds like you may not have ovulated when you expected. I know my last period I ovulated a full 8 days after my normal ovulation time, I get serious pain when I ovulate every month so it's pretty obvious for me, that and me and SO only had relations once that month and now I'm pregnant, lol.

I had the same thing happen to me My Last Period was Nov 24 2012 and before my visit to the doctor on Jan21 they were expecting me to be 8 weeks and 2 days but when they did the U/S i was 5 weeks and 0 days they said I conceived on Dec 31 2012. I went to a diff doc on Feb 12 2013 and they thought i was going to be 11 weeks when they did the U/S I was 8 weeks and 1 day they also said I conceived Dec 31 2012.. This baby was my miracle because with my son I had to take Fertility Pills...

Yes so far everything adds up and the baby is GREAT =)

According to my due date I had sex 3 days before I actually did. Lol I had no sex any where near that (prior too that day any way).

I don't really know when I ovulate or whatever. But that happened to me. Going by my last period edd was oct 15th going by my frist ultrasound it was oct 26th. I was suppose to be 8 weeks and was only 6. My dr kept the 26th which I was fine with. Later I saw a different dr he changed it back to the 15th because the later ultrasounds were more consistent with my period. And guess what? The 15th came and left.So I went in when I was 40 weeks for nonstress test and another dr said I was only 38 weeks so she told me to talk to my dr. The next day he scheduled my induction day for the following week. I checked into the hospital day of induction that dr said I wasn't 41 weeks I was only 39. So I was so mad and was willing to go home. I knew the 26th was right but they tryed saying my blood was up so they kept me I had her oct 23rd. Its all up to the dr. If you think your sooner maybe you are. Dont let them keep changing it back in forth baby will come when their ready. I really wanted her to come on her own. I won't allow it again
