stupid prelabor

My water broke with my first, so I never had to time anything.

I've been having contractions since about midnight. It's 3:30am now.
the last 10 contractions have been 4-6 minutes apart all lasting 1:30 or more.
Some are bad and some are wimpy, so I'm so confused on what I'm to do right now!

DH is still asleep, didn't want to wake him until we absolutely needed to go to the hospital.. I'm just not sure when that is. I have a high pain tolerance, ahh

there's not really a hard and fast rule after your first. I tell first time moms to go when they are 2-5 minutes apart consistently for at least 2 hours lasting at least a minute, OR when your water breaks.

but, no way to know if they are doing anything except get checked. It's up to you. There is no guarantee they will keep you.

ya, that's why I don't want to wake DH and DD up, to just get sent home. I was thinking by now they would get more intense or do something to notify me that it's time to go.

Well, you're not a first time mom, soooooo... Last time you were checked were you dilated at all?

OT but what midwives do you have? I live right down the street from RR and am looking into midwives just to prep for if I do manage to get pregnant from the Clomid.

OB/GYN North. I wanted to deliver at St.Davids. That hospital had a million something dollar remodel to JUST the L&D ward and is sooo nice.

That is the hospital I had my last one at. I owe them like 10 grand because my insurance screwed me over so I am banned from their hospital now. They were still doing the remodel when I had my son there but even then I liked how the rooms had a nice roomy feeling to them.

I just refused to deliver at Seton North. My cousin had her babies there and the lack of security terrified me. That and everything was smurfing dirty. Everything.
