Tuna casserola

posted 13th Mar
So I really want tuna casserole. I'm not using celery or mushrooms (don't like either). The reviews said it's a little bland. One said to use heavy cream instead of milk. And that baking it dried it out a bit. Any suggestions? I'm not a pro at cooking, and don't want to spend time making this, only for it to fail   What spices would you use? Would you use heavy cream instead of milk? Or like half heavy cream, half milk? HELP ME

I LOVE tuna casserole. But I've never made it, my grandmom used to make it for me all the time growing up. Gah, I miss it

Well maybe next time
We loved it. And I'm NOT a tuna fan and DH hatessss peas. But we both devoured it, and DD even ate some. Pickiest kid EVER too. I want to make it again but I want to wait until DH's bday in April so it's more special.

Yeah SO isn't a fan of peas. But we've agreed to try eating a bit healthier. Which means he has to start eating veggies

I just started cooking whatever I wanted and DH eats it. He might not get seconds of something with peas in it, but he eats it haha.
I made smoothies tonight and I hid spinach in them, he had no idea!

I need to start doing that... sneaking veggies and stuff into his food. He's such a baby

It turned out good! I didn't cook it for 25 minutes in the oven... I was scared it'd dry out. So I did 15. And the bread crumbs didn't turn crispy, so that's kind of a fail, but it's still good

yummmmmmm   if reviews ever say a recipe is too bland I just spice the smurf out of it before I put it in the oven with whatever spices seem like they'd work! don't be scared to be creative

next time put some bread crumbs and cheese on top after it's done cooking and stick it under the broiler.. watch it REALLY closely and as soon as the cheese starts to brown take it out.. mmmm crusts on top are the best!

Along with the onion, I added garlic powder and a few sprinkles of onion powder. And then S&P, obviously. So. Good.
