He had his first key hole surgery at just 2 weeks old and it didn't go so well, he stroked during the procedure, threw a clot to his brain and he's 20% brain damaged. His next was at 6 months and that was another key hole surgery, that went text book. And he had his full closer and repair open heart surgery at 3 days before his first birthday. He celebrated his first birthday in the children's heart ward and we shared ice cream cake with all the heart kids in his room. The energy there was just amazing.

usually by the way it sounds they can tell if its something serious or not. but they always have to send you to a specialist to rule out the worst.

Oh wow that is so scary. No more future surgeries? Glad to hear he is doing well now!

Not for now but he will have to have another open heart at 10-13 years old when ever they decided between then. Because the artificial valve he has doesn't grow with him. And at 40 they said he'd need a transplant.

You all are so strong to have gone through something like that...

I feel so helpless just over this little murmur  . Honestly I can't remember half the smurf his doctor said....my mind went sffgf as soon as she said mumur ....I hope everything goes smoothly for his future surgeries mama

Thank you. My mind was like that too when we were told something was wrong and the diagnostician was explaining it all to us... All I heard that day was Charlie browns teacher.. Lol.

It does get better though.

I hope you receive good news from the cardiologist!

Im trying to numb out until his appointment...and I don't even remember if they are scheduling it or if I am supposed to
