Quoting fertile mertile:" My 3 year old knows her abc's... like a-e, we're working on learning the others. She knows 1-2-3. She recognizes everybody's names. What can I do to help her? She's not in any type of school."DD isn't in school either. I'm constantly making learning games out of everything. I point out letters, shapes, numbers, etc and ask her what they are, how many there are, what color is this. Like for example, in the grocery store I'll count things as I put them in the buggy and then have her count them. "We're getting ____ apples and _____ bananas." Or I'll ask her how many there are. "How many tomatoes did mommy get?" I point out letters on everything and read to her a ton. I'll play games cooking dinner like, "Lettuce starts with?" Or "This pan is what shape?" "This plate is a circle!" We play with flash cards and draw/write together a lot too. Whatever you do, make it fun. That's honestly my best advice.
Quoting fertile mertile:" Is there a 3 year old free curriculum online that I can kind of go by?"Check out this site, I get a lot of ideas for DD from her. http://www.childcareland.com/
