DAYCARE ABUSE --- IMPORTANT&Long[Pics]

My 23 year old cousin started Hair School last month. Her husband works full time - like so many other parents do, they trusted the life of their 15 month old daughter with daycare providers. Supposedly one of THE BEST.

Last week my cousin noticed her daughter had a few bumps & bruises on her she took her to the Dr just to have her checked up - Dr told her just from being a 15 month old, they get bumps and bruises and theres nothing we can do about it. Well, yesterday when she went to pick her daughter up from daycare she had two marks on her neck - the left side was so red it looked as though she had been burned, the right side wasn't as bad but it was still questionable. She asked the providers what happened and they said she got a rug burn. Question - how does a 15 month old get a rug burn around her neck? Pretty close to impossible.

Her and her husband took their daughter to the ER without question SOMETHING and SOMEONE abused their daughter. The DR really had no explanation as to what it could have been. They contacted Social Services who are now investingating the situation.

This is a 15 month old beautiful little girl - she isn't walking yet, she doesn't speak much. She can't say what hurts or who hurt her.

In the meantime I watched her today & will do so for the rest of the week. I took pictures of her neck so that we had something to show to SS & to get it out there that DAYCARES AREN'T ALWAYS SAFE. No matter if you get AMAZING reviews about certain places or you hear other parents talking about how much they love a place it means NOTHING.

If your child is in daycare, PLEASE check them over EVERY SINGLE DAY. Our children deserve the BEST DAMN care in the world and if we can't be there for them during the day we trust their lives in someone elses' hands.



Posted below are pictures of her neck. I have kept her name out of this post because my cousin did not want her name out there until SS & the police investigated the situation and figured out what to do. The pictures are blurry because she wouldn't sit still, but you get the point.

Aww hell no if I was your coudsin i would be in jail right now for aggravated battery. The same thing happened to my niece at the most expensive daycare here. Except she ended up with a black eye and a dislocated shoulder.

omg that is horrible anyone who would do that to little kids are sick! That is why im working around my hubby's schedule at work. I dont trust daycares.

Did they try to ask the Day care first and talk to them?

Ugh...this is why my husband and I refuse to putour child in daycare...its just not worth it.

Omg that is awful. You'd think our kids are safe ya know? I just don't see how even on a childs worst day someone could lay their hand on someone, let alone an innocent child or baby. It's sick.

I feel so bad for her, I just have no idea what those marks could be from? I'm glad you are going to be watching her the rest of the week.

Me either, I stay home with my son. I'm finishing my college credits online.

Oh good lord yeah someone did that a child cant do that even if they tried. I understand how kids fall they get bumps and bruises but that looks like a burn how the heck would she get that on her neck!! I dont think i could even do that to myself on purpose.

Yeah she asked what happened and they told her that it was a rug burn. Pretty sure you can't get a rug burn on that part of your neck. If she were DRAGGED maybe she could get one on the back of her neck but it's on both sides of her neck.

Omg that is terrible! Thats why I told my boyfriend I was scared as hell to put our son in daycare.

Yeah and the pictures are pretty bad quality. She kept moving so they blurred out, you can't see it in them but the one on the left side is actually scabbed over in the middle.

That's ridiculous. i would have to seriously hurt someone. When I had my son, my mom and my grandmother were watching him until he was old enough to talk. This time around, my mom works the same schedule as I do and my grandmother has since passed away and I have been super nervous about finding a daycare to keep my baby that I get anxiety attacks just THINKING about the kinds of shit that happens in daycare to kids and this is a prime example of why! So my cousin, who had a baby last October, offered to do daycare for us. She is a SAHM now because she has a handicapped child ( I can't rmember the name of his condition but he he stops breathing on his own when he goes to sleep and have to have a trac (sp?) so she's at home with him all day now). So she was like she could use the extra money and we trust her...she's more like a sister then cousin...and we're going to take our daughter there.

Obviously not ALL daycares are bad, but it's crazy to think that you really DO have to check your child over when you pick them up. Because you really NEVER know who you can trust.

The best thing for our kids .. is family. I mean my Mom used to WANT me to put my son in daycare so that he could play with other kids, but yeah .. I take him to the park and he plays with other kids there. And in September he can play with other kids in Pre school. I don't need daycare for that.
