Low fluid and sex

Is it safe to have sex when your fluid is low? I had a ultrasound yesterday and my fluid was a little low I go in for another ultrasound next week to see if my fluids have went up but I completely forgot to ask weather or not sex was safe. They didn't tell me I was restricted to anything and they also never told me any ways to make it go back up.

I think if they didn't mention it sec would be fine. And drink lots and lots of water , no carbonation, no caffeine.

Are you leaking or is it just low?


If you are leaking fluid then they will tell you no intercourse because of risk of infection.

No I haven't been leaking just low. And yeah I've read to drink lots of water that's all I've drank since I found out yesterday that it was low  .

I was told complete bed and pelvic rest when I was diagnosed with low fluid, but for me the levels were dangerously low.

Yeah mine weren't dangerously low, they were just a little over low. I'm hoping they go back up by my next ultrasound I don't want her early she's on 3 lbs and so many oz that'd be a small baby!

I went to the doctor on Tuesday and that's when my ultrasound was that they told me it was low. But they never said I was restricted to anything :/

my level was 5.2 have to go back twice a week now to be moniterd and once a fortnight for scans

My fluid was just above a 6 and I wasn't put on any restrictions. I had a lot of sex.

I can't remember how much mine was I think it was at 10% but I have to go in once a week to be monitored and get a ultrasound also. Yeah lol I haven't had sex since my appointment cause I haven't been 100% sure but I guess I'm fine.

i'm also due may 2nd and was just told my fluids low aswell... although, with mine, i got told last tuesday that it was low and had to go in for 2 NST's, and have another ultrasound tomorrow and if its ANY lower or even the same, i'm getting induced. soo mines dangerously low, but i wasnt told no sex or anything... just drink lots, try not to stress, and on bedrest (again! GAHH! lol)... soo, i think sex may be finee.  

That's crazy!!! They told me at my last appointment and Wednesday I go in for another ultrasound and Thursday I have my NST again too. They also tolde the same if its the same or lower we will have to deliver her early.
