19 weeks and baby is to low

posted 13th Mar
I had my first ultrasound today. Everything was going well until the end, she try to take pictures of the head but it was already too involved in the cervix and it was really too low! is that its already happen to someone? What are the risks? I must go back and take another photo of the head and whether it is out of the cervix. I'm 19 weeks but my ultrasound 18 weeks calculate! this is my second child and I never lived it with my first. I hope all goes well anyway! and I learned that I was expecting a little boy!! Yayyy!

If there was reason to be concerned, the dr.s would've told you so honestly. My kiddo was very difficult and I have to go back for another anatomy scan because she was just not in good positions to get all the info and data they needed, it's pretty normal

Do you mean the head is already engaged in your pelvis?

same with me lol. They couldn't see the kidneys, bladder, and other things, We also didn't find out because this little squishy was way low, couldn't even determine the sex. Next scan is in two weeks.

still plenty of space and time to move about. probably just positioning today. hopefully next time you'll get the measurements you need. dont worry though. the dr would have told you if there was something alarming going on.

This is the exact same thing that happened to me at my first us. The baby's head isn't engaged just pushing in to the cervix.

I'm 27 weeks and have had an ultrasound every 4 weeks since my 19 week anatomy scan because she likes to hide things. At the 19 week she was hiding behind my hip bone, all we could see was her butt. At the one after that she kept spinning and pulling her feet and legs up so they couldn't see anything. And then the one after that she kept her hands in front of her face. And then this one yesterday they finally got her weight and got a face shot and finished up with all that. Now I have to go tomorrow to a specialist ultrasound to see if there's iugr, since she's only measuring in the 8th percentile.

My baby has been low and head down for weeks now. They had a little trouble at my last u/s because she was so low, but they were lucky enough to get what they needed. I already feel a ton of pressure!

My last had dropped through my cervix way too early as well, and they put me on pelvic rest and bed rest. I had him 7 1/2 wks early, but I believe mostly that's because I had two other kids and didn't have any help, so the bed rest never really happened. My son is perfectly healthy and other than being early it didn't cause any problems except the pressure got worse the bigger he got. It was uncomfortable, but not unbearable.

It's good to hear they're being really thorough. I know it worries you more, but you'll know for sure soon and can make sure everything's perfect for your baby.
