Hey ladies...DD is 3 months old now and DH and I have already discussed delaying solids until 6 months as well as making our own baby food, and we both agree on these things. However, I've seen a lot of mamas on here advocating BLW so I did some research and it makes a lot of sense. I linked DH to a website about it and he read it but he's skeptical. Which is understandable - I was too, at first, because it's obviously not the norm.
I really want to try it but I want DH to be comfortable with it, too. His initial reaction was that it's dangerous (he's afraid she'll choke). So I wondered if any of you mamas could provide me with some info or link me to resources so I can give him some facts and put his mind at ease.
I mostly do blw with my 6 month old. I tried him on baby food when he was 4 months old and he hated it so now were doing blw. He loves it and gets so excited when i hand him some food. I would start off with really soft foods like avocado, bananas, and strawberries. I also bought my lo some of those meltaway cookies and he will just sit on the floor with me and eat them. Just make sure when you start that your always right by her and that you constantly offer her something to drink.
