ttc and dr

SO I've now been TTC for 8 months My dr said that after 6 or 8 moths she wanted me to schedule an appointment with her again to figure things out?


What do they do at appointments like that?

Like it'll be over a yr ttc when u go back? They may run tests to see if you're ovating or why you aren't getting preg. They may suggest things like clomid or metformin depending on why u may be having issues. But try to stay positive. You may not need to worry

No, I'd be around 8-9 months of trying if I went in when she told me but I don't actually plan to make any appointments for it till after a year of TTC.

I went to this dr for a blood test and when she talked to me about it and found out I'd been trying for 5 months at that time she was shocked and very serious about me coming in after 6 months. but I've done the research and know it can take a healthy couple anywhere from 6 months to a year.

I just want to know what going to the dr can even do for you?

My guess is shell prescribe you clomid and if that doesn't work they'll do an extensive test run session etc.

I wouldn't worry about going until after a year. I've always been told if it take longer than a year to see a dr. It took me 18 months to concieve

I'd schedule it now I mean it won't hurt

they will ask you questions about your cycles, probably tell you to use home ovulation predictors. to make sure your getting an lh surge. anyway that is what my dr did with me before any kind of medication or testing.

Probably this. But I'd wait longer for clomid honestly. See if you NEED it first because you're right it can take a yr for a healthy couple.
