Tipping

What are your thoughts on this movement, poster? Do you think you should always go into a meal at a restaurant with the intentions & means of tipping? If you dont have a tip should you just stay home?


My thoughts coincide with the poster. I feel like those in the service industry should always be tipped unless of course they do something completely obnoxious or ridiculous. But, I always make sure I have enough for my meal and a tip when I go out. If I do not have enough I simply dont go out or I hit up a drive thru. Same for pizza delivery.

I think this could go across the board with hair stylists, nail techs, tattoo artists, even those that provide a service to your fur babies.

Yep. I agree. If you cannot afford to tip, then serve yourself at home.

Yeah, if you don't tip for whatever reason, tell the server. If you don't have the means to tip, don't go out.

I agree with the poster.

If I can't tip, I won't go out to eat.

I think people who don't tip are tacky and rude..

I go with every intention of tipping. If I get smurffy service they get a smurffy tip.

I tip accordingly like everyone should. If I get really outstanding service I will overtip.

If you CANT tip, go to freaking mcdonalds. They make minimum wage. Servers depend on tips and work hard for them.

Yes I agree 100 percent. Before I had DD I was a waitress. It would make me so mad when someone wouldn't tip me or leave me a dollar for a 25 or 30 dollar meal. I work my butt off to get that tip and get paid. Then we had the customers that would sit there for hours run your butt off and then leave a freaking quarter. If you don't have the money to pay someone their tip don't go out. Stay home or go to a fast food resraunt.

I tip based on service but I always tip.

What do you mean you dont agree when the rest of your statement implies you do?

I agree. If you don't tip, then mention it at the beginning of the meal.

If you can't afford to tip, then you can't afford to eat at the sit down restaurant. Go to fast food or something.

I never go eat somewhere that tips are standard unless I have the money for a tip.

They make less than minimum wage in most places.
