And he's doing it! Walking!

posted 13th Mar
FINALLY!

I wasn't worried, I knew it would come with time.

But that day has finally come where big MAC is finally taking more than 2 steps and biffing it.

He's 14 and 1/2 months exactly. His birthday is 12/31/11

And pardon the snot nose. You wipe it and then turn around, and it's there again!

So as you can see. He's already helping destroy everything in his path.

My oldest did that at like 11 months. Just stood up and took off running until he biffed it!

It's like OMG!

but last to were near 15 months when they walked.

He just walked over and took every DVD off the tower again. Now he's pushing his dinosaur ride on somewhere, while looking to see if there's any more DVDs he can get off the tower.

I can't wait for nap time. ;)

Awwww he is so cute. Did alot of people question you on why he wasn't walking? Once my daughter had her first birthday and wasn't walking people were questioning me like she was slow or something lol She ended up walking a month after her first birthday.

Its like people think I'm worried or something.

And yeah they're like, "he's not walking?" They don't ask more than that, but they always look worried, like something's wrong with him.

It's like ummm...no, he's just like his sister and he'll do it when he's ready.

Someone at church just said, "Well that's ok. He knows he's really cute, why walk when people will just pick him up?"

It just started running yesterday, and we use cloth, towels, or washcloths, is what I use. Whatever I can find nearby, I just wipe his nose with.

I don't believe in "baby proofing" I believe that you can teach a child no, and they won't do it.

Although both me and DH are about to eat our words with this one.

We have the stairs blocked off with a chair and a computer server, and I'm about 75% sure I'm going to have to buy locks. He's obsessed with under the kitchen sink. So I'm always in there telling him no, and redirecting, but he's a boy and stubborn. So it's so frustrating!

It completely worked with my daughter!

And yeah EVERYTHING goes into his mouth. Which completely sucks, because he's allergic to a lot of different foods.

Even right now he's trying to find a way to climb out the back door onto the patio without cracking his head.....

This boy is difficult! But my older son was too, so I'm ok with it.

And baby ADD just kicked in, now he's in the shoe closet.

Yay!!!

And we don't baby proof either. Never had an issue. we even taught her how to scoot down the stairs.

but remember...you have girls...

boys like just don't get it. My girl was emotional, like her doing wrong was actually hurting my feelings. And so if momma said no, she would cry and run away. But boys, are like, "Who cares? I'm just gonna do it anyways."

At least both my boys are.

Once he's able to go safely up and down the stairs, I'll remove the block!

And I'm still hoping that I can teach him to stay out of dangerous stuff!

Boys really dont get it lol

I have one cabinet locked where my cleaners are..but he has figured how to slam it over and over until it snaps open. I also had to mount everything to the wall because he is a climber. I didnt have to childproof with my oldest..this one is another story.
