red big lump under armpitt

ok so i have this pretty big lump/bump under my armpitt and it hurts SO BAD it has no head and its not a pimple or an ingrown hair . its bigger then a quarter but not too much and it burns really bad. i went to the hospital because ive had it for like a month and its not getting better they gave me some antibiotic to clear up the infection and they said it was an infected sweat gland but the medicine didnt do anything i been putting hot compresses on it all day and theres still no head and its even bigger now. i googled infected sweat gland and it doesnt loook like it. sounds familiar to anyone?

My mom had a cyst there that had to be drained or whatever.

Boil or cyst. The sell boil ease at the drug store works awesome.

i dont think its a boil theres like fluid all around the lump like under it and its like hard and puffy i dont know why they didnt lance it at the hospital....

actually my sister had something very similar to this. what it turned out to be was breast tissue growing. if you make an X across your body from your shoulders to your waist, this is called your milk line and you can grow breast tissue anywhere along this line. wierd i know. yes uncommon but it happens. im not saying that is what this is but it may be something for the drs to look into. good luck

Staff , hard and red like that there is deff puss underneath , did they give u antibiotics? Usually a few days after you start on them then it should come to a head and drain itself , if not then you'll have to have it lanced open and most likely packed where the infection has eaten your tissue .. that's the road you deff don't wanna go down . Put warm compresses on it and keep doing it it will most likely help bring it to a head . If it gets any worse please go see a doctor its very bad and can be passed to Lo . I delt with this when I.was pregnant with my first baby , except I had 5 of these knots under my arm pit, very painful & I had to have all 5 lanced open twice at once ... Wasn't the greatest experience   get yourself some antibiotics hun before it gets worse
