Can taking a multivitamin change your period?

posted 13th Mar
A little over a month ago I started taking a women's complete multivitamin. While reading up on vitamins, I learned that taking B6 can regulate your cycle/ovulation & lengthen your lutheal phase. My period has been coming every 26 days for the last 3 cycles (it was 27, 26, & 25 days the few before that) my lmp was 2/13 & my period this month was due monday 3/11. I have had very sore to the touch nipples which is unusual & has ewcm up until the day I missed my period. I took a hpt the day before I missed my period & it was negative. I keep getting that feeling down there like af is coming, although i had that same feeling when I was pregnant with DD. Any suggestions?

what you said is true about the luteal phase but im not quite sure. i would suggest if no AF in a week, take another test.

I have been taking women's multivitamins for a few months now and my periods haven't been late. So, I'm not really sure if it's possible or not.

How soon after taking the vitamins can they change your cycle? I'm still confused as to whether or not it would delay my period or just lengthen my Lp. My sore nipples arereally throwing me off lol I was gonna take a digi tomorrow morning if no af by then.

what happens is the vitamin b helps you ovulate earlier which lengthens the luteal phase but your cycles should not be too affected. so no i dont think it would drastically change your cycle but a day or two off is normal for anyone.

you can do that, i would suggest a FRER as i have had better luck with those tests.

Maybe the fact that the only way my period has been off if anything for the longest time, is it comes a little earlier but never later. I'll try to wait it out. Today's day 28 with still no period so if by tommorow no period, then I think I'm gonna test cuz I got a 2 pack of clear blue digitals & I feel like I should be able to rely on then since I also used one 3 days after missing af with my dd.

if you already have them, use them. i just have had false positives with them so i dont personally use them anymore.

I took a frer the day before I missed af & got a bfn, for some strange reason even if I'm not pregnant I still feel like all bfn's are a lie before my period shows up lol maybe taking one now would be a good idea since I'm late lol
