3 cm dilated!

Went for my 38 week check-up this morning and found out I'm 3 cm dilated and my cervix is %50 thinned! I wasn't dilated what so ever at my 37 week appt last week. Hopefully I'll go into labor within the next few days!!  

Wow! That was a quick dilation I stayed 2-3 cm dilated for 2 weeks then bam! 2 hrs of labor and he is out! Hopefully it's a quick one for you too!  

Good luck! My doctor usually admits at 3cm & starts pitocen.

You could stay at 3 cm for weeks, but the way I look at it is, no matter what thats less work you have to do when you go into active labor   I go in for my 38 week check up today too, so wish me luck!

Mine said I won't get admited unless my water breaks or I go into active labor.... I've heard pitocen sucks ass.

It does! lol My water broke & I was at 2cm for a while. As soon as they started the pitocen the contracts came super fast! But I had a pretty quick labor. lol

They allow you to refuse. I think she only does it once you hit 38wks though.

It's almost time! I have no clue if I'm dilated or not!

That is awesome! Baby could still stay in there but the more you dilate, the quicker labor will be. I was at almost a 4 at my 38 week appointment & had him at 39 weeks exactly. (:

Could be any day now! I have been 2cm for 3 weeks and 70% effaced for about a week. I lost my mucus plug last week and he is very low so I am hoping I go very soon!
