Am I in the wrong here?

A week ago I won $200 off the radio ($100 in my name the other $100 in SOs name) I knew what I wanted to do with my $100 I don't get to see $100 for myself very often since I'm a SAHM . I really want a tattoo to represent our family and its about $75. Last night SO told me I'm not spending that $100 on tales for a "stupid tattoo" . Am I in the wrong here or is he right that I don't need to spend it on that? (It's a visa gift card so can't pay bills) also the other $100 I won him his name I gave to him & he said were using it Aimee for her birthday. Sounds fine to me! But I don't get why I can't do whatever I want with money I won from the radio , money that we would have never had if I didn't call. I don't see why I'm terrible for wanting a tattoo that represents our family :/

Tell him to shove it, and get your tattoo anyways.

Why is that? I can't spend it on any bills.

You could use it for something else. I would get some new clothes, bra's, maybe some groceries. It could be used for so many things besides that.

Is there a reason he is against the tattoo? Does he thing you should spend it on something besides yourself?

That's what I thought.
I mean I won $200 total and gave him the $100 I won under him or I could have been a bitch and kept it all but I knew he'd get mad for doing that.

Yes you can. I got a $100 Visa gift card from DirecTV and spent it on bills.

But it depends on if you guys have bills that need to be paid. If you have bills to be paid and are choosing to spend it on a tattoo instead, then I think it's irresponsible as well.

It really depends upon your families financial position, imo.

You would be wrong if that $100 could be used for things the family needs.

If the family is not in need, I think he is being ridiculous.

If you're hurting finically in any way, I think it would be stupid to use it on a tattoo... You could use it to buy groceries and use the $$ you'd normally use for that on bills.

God I wish my husband was that finically responsible.

I'm more of a buy what is needed not wanted type of person. Even if the money was 'free'. You should def. Spend it on yourself, but maybe not in the form of a tattoo.
