low fluid

About 2 weeks ago I was in triage for cramping, these did all these test including an ultra sound and basically sum, up the cramping as me being too active and to take it easy, but than I saw my o.b yesterday and he told me that my ultra sound came back showing low amniotic fluid- so he wants me to get another ultra sound done - I was just wondering what will happen if the new ultra sound shows low amniotic fluid still?

It probably depends on how far along you are?

My levels were low from 32 weeks on. I was in preterm labor that they were stopping in the hospital so I had an US once a week. I was transferred to a different hospital with specialists once my fluid levels got lower. His plan was just to monitor me because they weren't too dangerously low and he wanted baby to cook as long as possible because she had IUGR (growth restriction)... however, I delivered 4 days after that so I don't know exactly what would have happened if they kept going lower. He told me I'd have to be induced if they got bad, but I was far enough along to do so 'somewhat' safely. Good luck.

I'm almost 30 weeks .. I had low amniotic fluid with my first child they kept me in hospital for 4 days and had me rest and drink lots of water.. but hope don't get admitted this time..
