When to worry

If a 21 year old healthy female t'stc for a year to no sucsess, is it time to think she may be unable? My friend was crying to me saying she's never gonna be a mom and so on and said she cries all the time... But I think she's fine it just hasn't happened yet I don't think she's infertile... So when do you seek medical opinion?

After a year of active TTC a doctor will start looking into things.

We were completely healthy and TTC'ed for 2.5 years for our first. Although timing wasn't right and im now thankful it took that long.

After 10 months.

I need to gather stories of people who took long then finally conceived to give her hope. So thanks.

I don't personally think its the best time for her but its not my place to say, I just need to support her or whatever

She asked me to beca surrogate... I'm like.... Uhh... No. Lol

21 she is still SOOO young and after a year is just a bit early to be looking for a surrogate when they haven't even been to a doctor. Sometimes it doesn't happen for a reason, for the best. My story is on my profile, lol.. You will then see why it wasn't good timing for us. Tell her to go to her family doctor and they will take it from there.

My hubby and I are both completely healthy and we actively TTC for nearly 6 years before we gave up and just had fun with it. We didn't have any outside help and the month after we actively gave up was the month I learned I was pregnant.

Doctors generally want a person to TTC for at least a year before they seek help. It's not just her that could have the issue--her SO could have low sperm count.

Lol she's got a loooong way to go before looking at surrogacy. Does she have $100,000 on hand?

We were able to see a specialist before a year since my husband was supposed to be deploying at the time.
