Raging period! Possibly TMI

So after a 51 day cycle and AF being almost 3wks late she finally showed last Tuesday and with rage. I have never had a period longer than 5 days but here it is 7 days and I am still spotting and cramping. So needless to say this has been a super bitch

Anyways question: I stopped bleeding like a day ago but then started spotting again tonight... Is that normal??? I haven't had sex in the last week or so either just because my cramps are awful. So just random spotting? It's bright red too...

i have it sometimes, i used to have 3 day periods now im only having a period every 6 weeks now and it is exactly like you just explained.

I had a beyond heavy period when I had an annovulatory cycle, q was 23 days late for af, my doc said that when a cycle last too long that sometimes the lining just builds up too much and your body is just doing what it would do normally. Oh also my af also lasted about 8 or 9 days
