My sob story for the night.

posted 12th Mar
I got tagged in a picture of myself with my BDs cousins daughters on Facebook... I did not realize how smurfing big I have gotten after having Aubree. It's been almost 5 months now.. I had a c-section too so i'm sure that doesn't help.

Are there any workout routines you mommys do when the baby naps?
I need to get my ass in gear & start losing this smurf!!
Not cute.

I breastfed. The weight just dropped off. But I also eat healthy and walk a lot. I had a c section.

I've had 3 c-sections and am 20 weeks into baby #4. I run, and do a lot of cardio. I'm an avid martial artist, and do yoga a few times a week. I also have a job that keeps me on my feet and moving for long hours.

I walk with DD every single morning at the park. We walk for about an hour to an hour and a half and I burn anywhere from 500 - 900 calories depending if I jog or just walk.

I was breastfeeding for 3 months and the weight did just pop right off & then I stopped & now I look like a cow.

I don't spend much time walking considering I live in a pretty bad neighborhood.. I have an elliptical but never use it. Soo I think i'll just start using that & doing the ' Squat challenge ' haha

If you arent nursing, look into juice fasting. I'm thinking about giving it a try I've heard really good things about how much energy it gives you and how your can drop alot of weight (if thats what your body needs)

Try Couch to 5k...it's a great program to help GET you IN to shape. I've done stuff like p90x with GREAT results, but don't know that I'd recommend them to someone who is just starting to work out.

Fasting is never healthy. Weight that is lost by such a drastic measure, does not stay off. Weight loss needs to be healthy and steady - which usually means it takes time. A "fast fix" like a fast or cleanse, is setting yourself up for failure.

Weightloss, to be successful, needs to come from an over all lifestyle change. Healthy eating, more activity. MAKE time for activity, make it a priority. Eat clean and train hard.

I find weight lifting really helps me with weight loss... And you can do easy stuff while the baby's sleeping....

One of my favorite quick easy work outs -

10 jumping jacks
10 squats
10 push ups (girly push ups if you have to)
10 crunches

repeat 10 times

Another thing to add...try measuring yourself (arms, bust, waist, hips, thighs, etc) and logging your measurements instead of pounds. Muscle is more dense than fat, and therefore weighs more. You can be doing a great job conditioning your body - burning fat, building muscle tone, strengthening your cardiovascular system - and not lose weight...sometimes, you may even gain some. If you're just looking at the scale, this can be REALLY upsetting, but if you are taking measurements regularly and can see them changing even when the scale doesn't, you're likely to not get as frustrated.

Also, don't weigh/measure every day. I know it can be tempting, but you're really not doing yourself any favors. One weigh in a week, at about the same time every day, will give you the best idea of what your weight is doing.

You obviously dont know much about Juice cleanses, It can be really successful and beneficial to a person to Juice Cleanse/Fast. You can get more nutrients in fresh juice then most people can get by eating as clean as you possibly can. No matter what there is no way a person can eat 10 carrots 1bunch of kale and 3 beets in one sitting but you can sure drink that and the health benefits are amazing.

Im just starting to learn about it but I have talked to my doctor about it and even she agrees that its a really good way to reboot your system and clean out toxins. And if your body needs to loose weight then the cleanse/fast may or may not help with that.

I've gotten some great workout advice on Pinterest. There's also a series of ten-minute muscle-building exercises on YouTube and DVD.

Once you're fully healed, hula-hooping is a great way to burn calories and tighten your abs. It's a fun stress-reliever too. Look up weighted hula-hoops on Amazon. I've bought and returned one through them, so it worked for me.

Just stay consistant and you'll see change. Pinterest also gave me a bunch of inspiring weight-loss pics. I have one on my iPod screen as a reminder that even if it takes time, weight-loss WILL happen!

Good luck! And your LO is precious:-).
