They stopped my labor again....

So I went to the dr today to have my 2nd to last dr apt. The dr told me I was a 5 and to go to the ER since I had been having contractions since 4am YESTERDAY morning.... So I go to the hospital a few hours later (had to wait for the babysitter to come) and when I got up there my contractions were 1.5 to 2 mins apart and I was dialated a 4.5(not a 5 but still close) well, I'm 38 weeks tomorrow and they stopped my labor because I wasn't 5cm or 39 weeks... this is the 3rd time they have stopped my labor after being dialated a 4! Is this normal? I'm so annoyed right now because any other hospital around here admit you after a 4 but not my hospital. I'd had nurses tell me that I should have been admitted and they shouldn't of stopped it since my body NATURALLY went into labor. What do you guys think?

You're past 36 weeks, right? Most places won't stop labor after 36 weeks. I'm surprised they stopped it. What did they give you?

My hospital doesn't stop labor past 35 weeks. I'd be a little upset.

Stupid ass people, you can only stop something natural from happening before it bites them in the ass, I'd go back and say I'm not going anywhere until I leave with a baby lol

OK Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that! There is another hospital about 30 mins away should I go to that one instead of the one Ive been going to??

I went into labor last Thursday and was only 36 weeks and they stopped it. It sucks thinking you are having a baby and then not but I was 36 weeks and not term yet so I wasn't that disappointed, however I would have been furious if I was 38 weeks and they stopped it. Next time you should refuse the medication that stops the contractions they cannot give you the meds if you say no. Were you progressing at all?

I would have refused them stopping labor again. You are term and your body is clearly trying to have this baby. I would not return to that hospital if you have a choice. What a bunch of chaos and idiots. They should have let you had your baby.....

I went back later that night at midnight and was still 4.5cm but my contractions were 1.5 mins to 2 mins apart. And they STILL sent me home. I told them I didn't want any meds but they said they won't take me till I am 5cm which I don't understand why when I am having a C-section... ugh. I have to go to this hospital otherwise I would go elsewhere...
