What the hell is wrong with my 14 monh old????

We all just had norovirus on valentines day. My daughter only had it one day. My husband a week, my son 3 days and me 3 days. Its now a month later and my daughter has HORRIBLE diarrhea!! It's been over a week now. I took her to the doctor yesterday morning and she said it was lactose intolerance and to put her on soy milk. Well, the diarrhea is still here!! Its been almost 48 hours and nothing has cleared up. 9 days solid with diarrhea. I called the after hours clinic and they told me to wait a few more days.. OMG wait a few more days???? I cant keep up on her diapers!! She even leaking diapers in the middle of the night!! Any help is extremly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you feeding her the brat diet?

How about eating yogurt or taking a probiotic?

well since they said shes lactose intolerant yogurts a no no. Only soy yogurt, which i got her some. Also, She has been eating bananas, applesauce, toast, crackers, thats about it. She doesnt seem interested in anything else.

When we changed formula dr kept telling me it takes a week to get the other formula out of his system

well we h her on soy formula until janury 22nd. We switched her to whole milk and it seemed ok until now. I dont if her body took some time to say hell no or what . maybe we'll give it a while longer and see what happens

What happened with my LO i had him on Soy, he had reflux real bad and someone mentioned similac for spit up so we tried it, it helped for like first couple days and then it got bad again. We went back to the soy and its helped. so I would say give it a couple more days. It could very well be that she needs to get the whole milk out of her system, and back with the soy

Soy milk causes tummy issues and mimics estrogen. Its linked to cancer. Try hemp or coconut milk instead. Also try the brat diet and a good probiotic.

I'd suggest adding another probiotic to it.

I use klaire labs infant probiotics. They are soy, lactose, dairy and more free. They are great. We use 1/4 teaspoon per day
