Quoting James Mama:" <blockquote><b>Quoting SAFFY™:</b>" The extraction and everything that followed was ... [snip!] ... a different option or were your teeth just too far gone? And had you had dental work prior? That's good you are happy!!!"
They were pretty much gone. I had dental work done before when I was 13. My parents neglected my dental care as a child. Going at 13 was the result of me nagging them but I ended up traumatized from the last experience I had with that dentist and didn't bother with my teeth until last May when I said enough was enough. I sucked it up and had the work done and it wasn't as nearly as bad as I thought it'd be. I had a severe panic attack when the dentist injected the roof of my mouth with 6 shots of novacaine but they just upped the nitrous oxide.
I also inherited my mom's "soft teeth" which has apparently been an issue in that side for a few generations so that probably didn't help much.
I had a few root canals done that time I was 13 and had implants put in...and the implants fell out over the next 10 years.
