re: SAHM vs Working mom.

When people say mental breaks because you're at work, I think of all the SAHMs on bg all day long.

--> seems like there are plenty of chances for mental breaks. Naps, kids playing on their own, kids in school, etc...

im a working mom i was a sahm for 3mos on maternity leave! I dont look down on SAHM's i know how hard it can be i have 2yr (well 26mo) and when im not at work im taking care of our son. i work yet i still take are of our son, clean, wash dishes & make dinner.
i think both are tuff jobs. at times i wish i could be a SAHM but then again its nice to be working & being able to commincate with others. im not saying SAHM's dont in any!! i think we are all moms and we do the best we can for our kids. its a shame when moms think they are better then others.

I'm a former SAHM, currently working mom and my parental partner is a SAHD. Honestly it was so much easier as a SAHM. Had plenty of time to get everything done, and honestly hell no I don't think that a SAHM should bitch about housework. I think it would be sooooo much easier if I had my kids in daycare vs. at home with their father all day. Then when I got home the kids wouldn't have had 12 hours to tear up the house.

How does he do as far as productivity? I swear my DH can't even come close to getting the amount of things done that I can when I have my son all day by myself.

as a working mom i found i had more energy to clean the house bc i was going ALL day & i would still want to go once i got home. i also went to school, and that was my "break".

now that i am back to being a SAHM i just want to lounge my ass all day. but there again, i am 36 weeks pregnant lol.

He doesn't do smurf. He sits on his ass all day and plays around on the computer selling/ buying coins.

screw them op. i am a sahm/wfhm and i too feel blessed to be able to do so. we plan on homeschooling our daughter all the way until she goes to college. i care for our farm and house work, our bills. i get a disability from the military so i can cover majority of our bills with that money. hubby cant complain and neither can i. we feel truly blessed to be able to stay home with our daughter. also after giving birth to her i had to go back to work 6 weeks later and hubby stayed home with her the first 2 years then we switched it up and also started a farm since then.
