Quoting Emily Dickinson:" The roles of the teacher are very much the same. I have friends that teach preschool and/or run day ... [snip!] ... that there are MANY parents that rely on the teacher to do more than they are able to do in the time that we have the children."

Yeah but it was obvious that she isn't one of those parents.

Quoting 3 little monsters:" Redirection works but you also have to discourage the initial bad behavior. Redirection alone doesn't ... [snip!] ... how fun it is?". You don't just pick up a child that did something wrong and place them in a ball pit. That teaches nothing. "

That's what they are doing. I hear them shout his name... and then they just plop him into the ball pit. I'm just thinking to myself... what the hell is that teaching him? They aren't showing him HOW to be nice, at all. He doesn't even know what he did wrong! How will he ever learn how he is expected to behave as he gets older in this center if this is how they expect to teach him such a thing.

And them calling him a bully is REALLY getting on my nerves. How can an 11 month old be a bully FFS?

I'd be pissed too, if this other daycare will be better for him I would really look at switching. I would just worry that they are going to do the same sort of half ass care and you won't be there to see it. If you know they are better though just try and power through the cord cutting, its hard but better for him, yourself and the baby in the end.

I feel like your taking your frustration you have at those parents who expect you to take care of their child and putting it on the person posting. . I understand where your frustration comes from but I think maybe your being a teacher made you jump to conclusions...
