receiving blankets for diapers...

i have so many and i was just wondering if any of you cloth diapering mommys have ever tried it and if it works?

I know you can make like prefolds or flats out of them, but they really aren't super absorbent...

I do! I use them almost every day. Whoever said they aren't absorbent is wrong. I can use one in the origami fold as a nighttime diaper with no leaks, and my daughter is an average wetter.

i think im going to try it and i was thinking ill place one of my really small prefolds that dont fit her anymore on top in a trifold just for a little more absorbency

like this i hope it works i have a ton of blankets and preemie prefolds and this will help alot

It can't hurt to try it. I swear by them. Just make sure they're 100% cotton. I mean, prefolds are only (usually) 7 layers of cotton when trifolded. When you trifold a receiving blanket it's 12 layers, so...

that's awesome. My son would leak out of them in a second, but he puts heavy wetters to shame since he is on goat's milk. No child on the planet pees more than him, lol.
