Oh we'll ignore my post then lol

Don't let them sit around and soak for long. It causes alllll sorts of bacteria to grow. And there IS PUL (or maybe it's TPU) in Gdiapers. That's what makes them waterproof.

ETA: It's the covers that have the PUL.

My SO's mom helped us get our own washer and dryer almost 2 years ago, along with a stove, and we've been slowly paying her back. With three kids, and now one on the way, we couldn't afford a coin laundry every couple of days.

Yes, but the covers are either PUL or TPU, and they will need to be washed too. They shouldn't be soaked with detergent, it can break that part down. I think it can also affect the elastics, too, but I'm not sure.

I don't soak mine. Wet pails are cesspools of bacteria. Plus it can get knocked over by a pet or older child...ugh. Disgusting. No thanks.

I prefer dry pail and toss them in for an initial rinse in the machine every day just before I go to bed then fully wash them first thing in the morning and hang to dry. I wash every other day at least. Preferably daily until they get to where they don't use as many diapers per day at a few months old.

Quoting ℳizz ℊiz. :" The covers for gdiapers are just cloth material. The part that makes them waterproof is the snap in liners ... [snip!] ... though since that is such an easy material to wash. There's no reason to soak them lol. I hear they dry in like 5 minutes too."
If that's how those work, then just make sure not to soak the waterproof part. I don't know much about them, I don't know anyone who likes them.

I didn't like them at all. Leaks ALL the time and and the snap in liner that makes it waterproof shifts a lot.

Gimme my pockets or AIOs any day! Hell, even a fitted with no cover works better than those things.

The snap-in insert is breathable nylon, not the polyurethane laminate.

Soaking them will actually make them more dirty than just rinsing and wringing them out. Bacteria will breed in the water. I only soak mine immediately before washing them for about 10 minutes, in my washing machine.

I liked my gDiapers actually.

But I LOVE my pockets.
