Yeast infection

I had an abortion on the 6th - the antibiotics they gave me to take have given me a yeast infection.

Can I take Monistat? I still have a few days of antibiotics to do but this yeast infection is bothering me i'm incredibly uncomfortable.
They said nothing in the vagina for a week sooo ? Idk what to do.

yes you can use monistat. they mean no sex or tampons in the vag. but if you have a yeast infection you have to cure it. unless you can call your dr and they can give you the pills that take care of the infection.

If i still have a couple more days of antibiotics to take, the yeast infection wont come back after i use the monistat will it?

Doesn't monistat make an OTC oral pill now? That might work with out having to put anything in your vagina.

my doc gave me a pill for yeast infection last week, maybe you can ask about that instead? it was just one pill.

im not sure if i had a yeast infection, she said she saw some under the scope though. i didnt have any symptoms so i couldnt tell you if it worked lol...

no, it should not come back! with the pills you take two pills, one 72 hours after the first. and if your cleared to use the cream then make sure you get the 7 day to cover the rest of your pills.
