this boy right here

is now registered for kindergarten  

It's exciting huh! We just dd my sons IEP for next year- not sure which school to register for since we are waiting for a transfer.

Aw, such a big, handsome boy!

We just registered my daughter for kindergarten, too. It's so bittersweet.

exciting indeed! cameron was all for it til he found out they dont have toys and he cant be loud lol. but i told him he had a few more months til he actually started

yea i know he doesnt start til a few months from now but its still like awww this is the first step

I hate that about new kinder. The common core state standards have made kindergarten sooo demanding of children many of who are barely 5. Our school said they get maybe 20 min of free play a day. I miss the good ol days of finger painting and kumbaya. Lol

Haha! We were able to talk to the teachers at Sophie's school while we were there and one of them said she was a Second grade teacher 9 years ago, and she is now teaching Kindergarteners what she taught her second graders! Intense! but awesome!

and he is such a sweet looking boy! Wow! what a handsome little devil!
can't believe our babies are school-age already!

It is very intense! ( I am working on my education degrees currently and all I have been doing is working on these standards) I do like how they are raising the standards but I think they have raised some too high.

But either way I am EXCITED to have a kindergartener this year!
