CANT SLEEP!!

So about a month ago we had a drunk guy try to break into our home and ever since then I haven't been able to sleep because im scared its going to happen again and some one will actually get in this time. the only way I can sleep is if im in the living room with my shot gun laying next to me. Thats the only way I feel safe at night even when my hubby is home!! I pase the floors all night and I havnt been getting very much sleep at all im due anytime and I know I need to catch up on my sleep before our baby girl gets here but I just cant sleep! Any ideas on how to get over this fear of some one breaking in to our home?!?!

My husband and I have talked about getting security and he thinks its a good idea to.

Security system! I can recommend mine, because I've never been worried about my house being broken into.

I have two dogs.  

Seriously, they're the best security system ever. Cadillac is my big rottie, and while he's a big mushy teddy bear around my daughter and I, I definitely would not want to be on his bad side. Chevrolet is my 14 week old boxer pup, and she's a total nut. We're working on her attack dog training, but we'll see...  I'm counting on Caddy to train her.

But I'll go out with my stroller for a walk through Toronto, and I seriously have no worries with those two around.

we cant have animals in our apartment unless we want to pay 100.00 extra dollars a month. were only going to be living here till july then were buying a house but were deff going to have to do something until then expectially having a newborn and a 3 year old being home alone

I have a pitt bull/dogo mix and shes the biggest teddy bear everrrrrr. She lets my DD lay all over her.....but hell no i wouldn't wanna be on the business end of that dog either lol

I've seen her get defensive when some shady dude came walking down the ally.... Shes deff a good security system haha

if you're moving in july it maybe pointless to get a security system unless they tell you they will re-do your next house.. have you considered getting a baby monitor with video to put in the house near the entry area? that's the cheapest thing i can think of & once you move into your own house you can put it in your daughters room to make sure she sleeps sound at night..

My husband and I have talked about getting a baby monitor and putting it by the front door. That's what I'll do because I've checked almost every where and alarms are so expensive.
